Best Luxury Resorts Near Acadia National Park
I know that when planning a visit to Acadia National Park road trip, finding the perfect place to stay is as important as anything else. Having experienced many luxury resorts in the area, I am excited to share my insights with you. Here are 10 best luxury resorts near Acadia National Park that I would like to suggest to you.
Terramor Outdoor Resort
Terramor Outdoor Resort is not only a luxury resort but also one of the highly rated resorts in Bar Harbor. It is conveniently located so you can explore the town of Bar Harbor with ease. However, bus service is currently minimal here and there is nowhere to walk from the resort. So you really need a car.
In terms of on-site amenities, my experience is that I find they take very good care of you while you’re there. There is a swimming pool and it is not very big. Therefore, when people return to Terramore after daily activities (3-4 p.m.), the place will be packed and there won’t be enough chairs. But I find it still meets our needs.
The food and staff on site were also very good. They care and pay close attention. Regarding the tents to stay in, I thought it was very comfortable and well equipped. I enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe of the Lodge. Normally, I find the cost here will be around $401 – $557/person/night.
Bluenose Inn – Bar Harbor Hotel
It is the second name I eagerly want to suggest to you in the list of the best resorts near Acadia National Park. The experience is top notch. Everyone is friendly and hospitable regardless of location. I chose the room with a beautiful view of the Bay and I got to see the best things in Bar Harbor.
The new flat screen TV, gas fireplace and balcony furniture are a nice touch. Coffee is available in the room and is also freshly brewed in the lobby. The indoor and outdoor pools are clean and the water temperature is perfect. Don’t forget to visit the Great Room to enjoy a cocktail and listen to the in-house piano player.
You can also get breakfast at the nearby Looking Glass restaurant, which has great food and even better service. From Bluenose Inn, Downtown Bar Harbor is only about a 20-minute walk (about 1 mile). There are sidewalks and crosswalks, the paths are beautiful and safe. You can take a few photos along the way.
Room costs usually range from $364 – $478/night. I believe you will have a wonderful experience here.
Bar Harbor Inn
I highly recommend Bar Harbor Inn as it has an unbeatable location! Bar Harbor Inn offers everything you could ask for and more! The location, rooms, staff, meals, and riverside experience were all great! Why do I like it so much? Bar Harbor Inn offers guests a warm, traditional atmosphere, complete with live piano music and enchanting seasonal decor.
Additionally, I would also like to commend the hotel’s service for being friendly and professional, although opinions on value vary. And the hotel’s cleanliness always gets high marks in my eyes. This property also offers 2 hot tubs, excellent spa services, and a continental breakfast that includes a variety of options.
Why do I say the location really can’t be beat! Besides the water views and proximity to the dock for boating, you can walk from the hotel to Main Street and Cottage Street as well as places in between with restaurants, shopping and even shops. Grocery is very close. The shore path is directly in front of the hotel and you can also walk easily to Bridge Street and West, where the Bar Island trail is located at low tide. Driving into Acadia National Park takes about 10 minutes. Parking at the hotel is easily available. My only disappointment was that the instructor was not very knowledgeable. Everything else is fine with me.
Room prices at Bar Harbor Inn range from $195 – $675/night.
Samoset Resort
One of the most luxurious resorts near Acadia National Park, Samoset Resort has long been famous for its exceptional service. Guests frequently praise the attentive and friendly staff. I have experienced and found that this is completely true. Nestled in a location with breathtaking views and easy access to local attractions, dining and shopping, Samoset Resort has long been a favorite destination for many. So, I think you really can’t go wrong with this choice.
In addition to the atmosphere that is highly rated for comfort, I think the rooms are also equipped with many great amenities. If there is a special occasion to celebrate, I think I will come back here again.
Room prices here will range from $196-$380/night.
Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina
Many people love Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina, including my family. I think because it’s in a great location near downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, with great views of the harbor. On review forums, you’ll see people always saying how clean the hotel is and how great the atmosphere is, especially with the cozy fireplace in the lobby.
Some people might think it’s a bit expensive, feeling like they’re spending a lot of money on some services. But I think you will feel it is completely worth the experience here. Harborside Hotel also offers comfortable bedrooms and friendly staff, although the day I stayed there were maintenance and service issues.
Room rates at Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina are around $663 per night.
The Bayview Hotel
I recommend The Bayview Hotel in my list of the most luxurious resorts near Acadia National Park because it has amazing scenery and a great location! This newly renovated boutique hotel is perfectly located about a mile from downtown Bar Harbor, with lovely waterfront views!
The lobby is beautifully decorated and luxurious, there is no elevator, but there are only 2 floors so you won’t miss it. Gorgeous lobby and mini bar serving signature drinks. The room is also very large, modern and comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job and everything was perfect. I have nothing to criticize about my experience staying overnight here.
The part I am most impressed with at Bayview Hotel is the staff! The front desk was so sweet and friendly, their concierge was amazing too. The guide spent a lot of time helping me plan my hikes in Acadia to avoid crowds, provide easy parking, and give me the best views. Do you feel great yet?

Hampton Inn Bar Harbor
This was the best Hampton Inn of my trip. So I would like to suggest to you as one of the impressive resorts near Acadia National Park that I experienced. Hampton Inn Bar Harbor is at the top of a hill and my room overlooked the water. This was also the only hotel on my trip that actually provided me with two bottles of water for my Hilton Honors membership.

I appreciated the free breakfast and the outdoor pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking.
